Yancey Grimes, LPC-S, LCDC is the Executive Clinical Director at Vered @ San Gabriel Wellness & Recovery, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in behavioral health and nearly 15 years of specialized expertise in Substance Use Disorder treatment across all continuums of care.

His clinical leadership is grounded in evidence-based practice, ethical care delivery, and close collaboration with referral partners to ensure appropriate placement, continuity of care, and coordinated treatment planning. Yancey has extensive experience working alongside detox facilities, PHP/IOP programs, hospitals, and Employee Assistance Programs to support safe transitions, clear communication, and clinically sound step-down and step-up decisions.

Yancey’s approach is informed by both professional experience and lived recovery, allowing him to lead with empathy while maintaining strong clinical structure and accountability. He is highly skilled in program development, clinical supervision, multidisciplinary team leadership, and the implementation of integrated treatment models that address substance use, co-occurring mental health conditions, and overall wellness.
