Residential Treatment for Lasting Recovery
Vered at San Gabriel provides residential treatment focused on helping individuals restore balance, understand patterns contributing to substance use, and develop practices that support lasting change.
Each person’s recovery journey looks different. At Vered San Gabriel, treatment plans are developed collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and tailored to each individual’s experiences, needs, and recovery goals.
Upon admission, each client is assigned a primary clinician who oversees their treatment, provides individual therapy, and collaborates with them to develop and adjust an individualized treatment plan. Care is coordinated with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a consistent and aligned approach throughout treatment.
Family sessions are incorporated as clinically appropriate, and progress is reviewed regularly to ensure care remains responsive to each client’s needs and goals.
Clinical programming incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches that help individuals understand patterns of thinking, emotions, and behaviors related to substance use. These include:
These approaches are used to help clients identify triggers, regulate emotional responses, and develop more effective coping strategies to support their recovery.

Substance use and stress can significantly impact overall health. At Vered, wellness programming is integrated with clinical care to support daily structure, improve overall functioning, and build habits that extend beyond treatment.
These activities support emotional regulation, physical recovery, and the development of routines that support long-term recovery.
Programming may include:
Clients at Vered receive medical and psychiatric support throughout the residential treatment process. During treatment, each client completes a nursing assessment, history and physical, and psychiatric evaluation to help identify clinical needs, current health concerns, and appropriate treatment recommendations.
Our team works collaboratively to monitor client progress and provide follow-up support, medication management, and ongoing care coordination as needed. Medical and psychiatric services are integrated into the treatment experience to help support safety, stability, and engagement in care throughout recovery.
Relapse prevention is integrated throughout treatment rather than addressed as a single phase.
Clients work with clinicians to identify risk factors, recognize early warning signs, and develop clear strategies for navigating high-risk situations.
This process helps individuals leave treatment with greater awareness, stronger coping skills, and a plan for maintaining progress while staying connected to support.
Our team works with each client to develop a continuing care plan that outlines next steps after discharge, including clinical support and ongoing services.
Alumni services are offered as part of this process, providing opportunities for continued connection through follow-up contact, peer engagement, and alumni gatherings.
Together, continuing care and alumni programming help support a more structured transition from residential treatment and reinforce connection after discharge.
Residential treatment provides an opportunity to step away from the stress and patterns connected to substance use and engage in a supportive community.
Group therapy and daily structure allow individuals to practice new coping skills, improve communication, and build meaningful peer connections. Within this environment, individuals share experiences, support one another, and begin to build trust.
These shared experiences help individuals recognize they are not alone and that recovery is possible.
Substance use often impacts the broader family system, affecting communication, trust, and roles within relationships.
Family involvement is incorporated into treatment and may include:
The goal is to help families better understand how substance use and related dynamics impact the family system, strengthen communication, and navigate life after treatment with a clearer balance of boundaries, support, and attention to their own recovery process.
