Angela Messina MA MS LCDC
Primary Clinician
Angela is a primary clinician at Vered Wellness & Recovery, where she offers a compassionate, holistic approach to healing that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. She holds an MA in Counseling and an MS in Criminal Justice Administration, is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and is currently pursuing LPC-A licensure.
As a primary clinician, Angela creates a supportive and grounded therapeutic space rooted in trust, integrity, and collaboration. She facilitates DBT- and CBT-informed psychoeducational, skills-based, and experiential groups designed to help clients develop emotional awareness, strengthen interpersonal effectiveness, and cultivate healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Her work emphasizes nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and self-compassion as foundational elements of recovery.
Angela integrates mindfulness and somatic-based practices throughout her clinical work, supporting clients in reconnecting with their bodies and inner wisdom. She is a Life Power Yoga–certified instructor with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and an additional 100-hour Yin Yoga certification, allowing her to incorporate breathwork, movement, and embodied awareness into the therapeutic process when appropriate.
Guided by the belief that healing is possible for everyone, Angela views wellness as a journey toward peace, meaning, and purpose. She believes sustainable recovery is nurtured through therapeutic collaboration, skill development, peer support, and authentic community connection. Grounded in mindfulness and deep compassion, Angela walks alongside clients as they rediscover their strengths and their own guiding light.
Outside of the therapy space, Angela enjoys yoga, meditation, listening to music, and watching and playing sports.
